VNC

VNC is a freeware/shareware application which Hudson Tech Support staff uses on a frequent basis to connect to and troubleshoot client workstation problems.

The VNC "Remote" program is downloaded by the client and saved to the Windows Desktop of the workstation that is experiencing the problem (an internet connection is required as well as Windows Priveleges that allow installation of new programs/applications. ). Once downloaded, the client will double click the new icon labled "Remote" and will then be asked to select from a list of HOSTs.  The Host selected will depend on which Tech Support representative is assisting you.  After the client clicks "connect," the Hudson Tech Support agent will be able to view and remotely control the client workstation and can then work to resolve the reported issue.

To download the most current version of the VNC Remote host program,  click HERE. When prompted, save the file to your Windows Desktop. If the application already exists, please overwrite the previous edition and save the newer version in its place.
