How to disable a service type in the online system

Disabling a service type in the online reservation system

If you will be temporarily or permanently disabling a specific service type in the online (web-based) reservation system, you can simply change the Maximum Passenger Count to zero (0) for that service type. When clients then go to place an online reservation, service types with a maximum passenger count of '0' will not be displayed as a service option, even if fares exist in the fare table for that service type.

You may later reinstate the service type, by setting the Maximum Passenger count to an appropriate number greater than zero.

To set/change the Maximum Passenger count, login to your online Reservation Utility (resutil) page. From the main menu, look for the Service Configuration links in the left column.  Once you have opened the Service Configuration page, look about 1/2 way down the column for the field labled Maximum Passengers.
