We discovered that Microsoft Vista has speed issues when connecting to a terminal server.
The good news is that we were able to find a solution to the problem that will significantly increase time efficiency while running Hudson software via Terminal services on Windows Vista. This solution will have to be applied to each machine.
01. Click on the START menu at the bottom left of the Windows screen
02. Click on ALL PROGRAMS
03. Click on ACCESSORIES
04. Right click on COMMAND PROMPT
05. Choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
06. You will get a warning. Just click CONTINUE
07. Type in the following line exactly:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
08. Press ENTER
09. A line should come up that reads OK
10. Type in the following line exactly:
exit
11. Press ENTER
12. Restart your computer
You should immediately notice a difference in speed when you log back on to our server and run the HWeb software. This is a special command line that is used to speed up connection on Microsoft Vista machines.
